Trisha Yearwood has enjoyed enormous success over the course of her near two-decade career - one that includes three Grammy awards and three CMA honors - which was ignited by now-husband and fellow country music superstar Garth Brooks.

One of country’s top female artists, Trisha’s first big hit was "She’s in Love with a Boy," which skyrocketed to the top of the country charts in 1991, but it was just the first of her 19 top-ten country hits. She also saw success with hits such as "Perfect Love" and the Dianne Warren-penned "How Do I Live," which was nominated for an Academy Award for the film Con-Air.

Trisha’s debut album is certified double platinum, and she had even more success with Songbook: A Collection of Hits, which has been certified quadruple platinum. Her twelfth and most recent effort, Heaven, Heartache, and the Power of Love has also been well-received in the country arena.

Trisha's 12th album, Heaven, Heartache, and the Power of Love is upbeat and energetic. "It’s usually really easy to find ballads, but when it comes to up tempos, I’m really lucky if I find two or three that I really like," she says on her Web site. "This time, we cut eight songs in two days and I think we had two ballads out of all of that. I’m really excited because it’s like a live show tome. I love ballads and that’s my bread and butter, but I’m really enjoying the energy of this record."

Her most recent project, however, isn't a musical one. Trisha, along with her mother, Gwen Yearwood, and sister, Beth Yearwood, has penned a best-selling cookbook, Georgia Cooking In An Oklahoma Kitchen which includes 120 recipes, as well as personal stories from Trisha herself. On April 29, 2008 thirty lucky contest winners spent a day in Nashville, TN, with Trisha Yearwood where she discussed and demonstrated recipes from her new cookbook, Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen.
